OVERVIEW

What to know before taking the next step.

GST registration depends on turnover, supply type, place of supply, activity and current compulsory-registration provisions. A threshold alone is not a complete applicability test.

Eligibility and scope notes

  • GST requirements depend on current law, supply type, taxpayer category, location and transaction facts; a generic turnover figure alone is not a full legal test.
  • GST registration applicability depends on current law, supply type, taxpayer category and location. Proof for a rented premises depends on the actual occupancy arrangement; a landlord NOC is not universal.
