Prepare documents by business type.
These are early preparation notes, not a one-size-fits-all filing checklist. The final documents depend on the structure you choose and the current filing route.
Proprietorship
- Proprietor’s PAN and identity/contact details.
- Proposed business name, activity and operating location.
- Premises ownership, lease or consent details.
- Any activity-based registration already in place; a proprietorship does not have one central incorporation certificate.
Partnership firm
- Partnership deed covering the firm name, partners, business place, contributions, profit-sharing and roles.
- PAN, identity and contact details for each partner, plus authority for the person handling the filing.
- Firm PAN, registration and bank information where already obtained.
- Business premises and occupancy information.
MCA-registered entity (LLP, OPC, private or public limited)
- LLP: proposed name, registered office, partner/designated-partner details, contributions and draft LLP agreement.
- OPC/private/public limited: promoter, subscriber and director details; share capital, objects and registered-office information; MOA/AOA as applicable.
- DIN/DSC eligibility, declarations and professional certifications for the selected MCA filing.
- OPC nominee details and consent, or foreign/body-corporate subscriber records, only where relevant.
Also prepare, where applicable.
- Proposed business activity, ownership model, name and intended operating location.
- High-level founder/partner information; do not send identity records through the public enquiry form.
Questions about company registration.
The right service and next steps depend on your circumstances, location and the rules that apply.
Does every business need company registration support?
Structure choice depends on ownership, liability, tax, governance, funding plans and ongoing obligations. DCA can help compare the options against your plans and circumstances.
What should I prepare before asking about company registration?
Share a short description of your activity, entity type, location and question. Keep sensitive records out of the public enquiry form.
Are fees or timelines fixed for company registration services?
The website does not list fixed fees or delivery estimates. A written proposal will set out the agreed work, fees and any applicable statutory or third-party charges.
